WelcomeIn our Statutory Inspection of Anglcan Schools (SIAS) that took place in September 2011, we were judged to be an outstanding church school. We are proud of our church school distinctiveness and the values we promote that exemplify our school mission and aims. We place each child's well-being and learning at the heart of all we do. We are committed to providing inspiring and meaningful learning experiences underpinned by core skills and a wide range of opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom so that our children grow to be successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens able to make a positive contribution to the world in which they live with all its opportunities and challenges. 'Pupils at Collaton St Mary C. of E. enjoy coming to school because they feel valued and safe.' OFSTEDWe value our links with our community and parish and benefit from shared activities in our community facility. Amongst our many enriching partnerships, as a Flag ship school for the Food for Life organisation, we are particularly proud of our provision for school meals and all round food education in our drive to encourage children to adopt a healthy, sustainable life-style. Our recent OFSTED inspection in July 2011 recognised that Collaton St Mary provides an outstanding curriculum which, combined with the strong Christian ethos, leads to outstanding, highly considerate behaviour in lessons, around the whole school and plays a pivotal role in the good quality of pupils' learning. One parent said: 'This is a wonderful school where all the teachers really care about the children. Behaviour is excellent, they love learning and are so happy here.' We hope that you find our web site informative and interesting and that it provides a flavour of our school with all that it has to celebrate and offer. Penny Millington, January 2012 |
